Tom Szaky is the founder and CEO of TerraCycle, an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, creating and operating first-of-their-kind platforms in recycling, recycled materials, and reuse. Across 21 countries, TerraCycle is on a mission to rethink waste and develop practical solutions for today’s complex waste challenges. The company engages an expansive multi-stakeholder community across a wide range of accessible programs, from Fortune 500 companies to schools and individuals. Tom and TerraCycle have received hundreds of social, environmental, and business awards and recognition from a range of organizations including the United Nations, World Economic Forum, Fortune Magazine, Time Magazine, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Tom is the author of four books, Revolution in a Bottle, Outsmart Waste, Make Garbage Great, and The Future of Packaging.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation and other recycling-related policies have become more of a priority for lawmakers through the introduction of state and federal bills. Hear how EPR legislation would shift financial responsibility for the end-of-life of products/packaging from consumers and governments to producers and brands.

Meet Joy Hoover, the driving force behind three nationally renowned social impact startups and the recent winner of Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2022 Iconic Women of Distinction Awards. As a safety activist for the last 13 years, Joy has been a tireless champion for social justice driving systemic change by creating access to essential holistic resources and spaces of belonging. Joy is leading a movement of real social impact.
She is currently fulfilling that mission through their latest social enterprise ‘Esōes Cosmetics’. Esōes is the first-ever personal safety smart cosmetics which includes patent pending products that combine an ecosystem of solutions to fight drug facilitated sexual assault and violence.

Understanding the upcoming shift in buying power + our consumers ‘why’ is the future of packaging. Join Joy Hoover in a discussion focused on human-centered design as we understand what motivates Millennials and GenZ’s brand loyalty. Together we will look at what’s working and what’s not, as we build a future of success + impact for our brands, consumers, and communities!

Laurie Pressman is the Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, the world’s most comprehensive destination to gain intelligence, insight and implications on the science and emotions of color. In addition to managing a global consortium of color and trend experts, Laurie presents on color and trend to design audiences worldwide and works directly with leading brands on their brand visual identity and product color selections.

Color trends evolve in line with changes in consumer mindsets and it is crucial we rediscover the joy and power that lie in our hands to shape the future of color.
