Merek is the Supervisor of Avient’s ColorWorks™ Design Center located in Phoenix, AZ as well as the company’s lead ColorWorks designer for the U.S. and Canada.
In his role, Merek serves as a liaison between clients and the Center’s dedicated design lab, offering insight on color trends as well as design and color theory expertise. He joined Avient in May of 2023 having worked as a practicing designer since 2013.
Merek holds a Bachelor’s degree in New Media Studies & Theater from Alma College, and a Master’s in Fine Arts in Color, Materials, and Finish Design from the College for Creative Studies (CCS). He interned with Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute while studying at CCS.
