Rachel Samaroo is Director of Design & Innovation at IBC Shell, where she is the lead designer and engineer for award-winning packaging. Under Rachel’s direction, concepts are brought to life from pencil sketches, to final manufactured merchandise and housing. Her team uses cutting-edge engineering techniques and digital rendering software to create stunning products. Additionally, Rachel is responsible for designing engaging animations, VR, and AR experiences.
Rachel attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and was afforded an in-depth exploration of industrial design, with specific focus on form and ergonomics. Rachel was awarded the opportunity to study Scandinavian art and architecture in Copenhagen Denmark, where she created a piece of furniture that adhered to the Scandinavian principals of design.
Prior to her role at IBC Shell, Rachel worked at Parabit Systems as a Design Engineer, where she designed an entire kiosk line and was heavily involved in the production of The Welcome Centers for JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia international airports.
